 Sugdens
has a long and proud history of supplying garments to the emergency services.
We have supplied shirts to almost every Police Force in the country and
to around 70% of all Fire Services.
Now, in line with
changing requirements, we supply a wider variety of garments, ranging
from shirts and trousers to workwear and outerwear. We have recently been
heavily involved in the development of the National Police Uniform Fleece.
For further information
regarding supply to Police Forces contact

and for Fire Services
contact Alan Colquhoun.

Again Sugdens helped to develop this new concept in comfortable and stylish
workwear which is now being copied by other Fire Services across Britain.
The National Police Uniform
Sugdens have been selected to develop the Fleece for the new National
Police Uniform. This is almost the only garment in the range to receive
universal approval at all stages of its development.
Surrey
Fire
Surrey Fire and Wm. Sugden & Sons Ltd collected the prestigious award
of functional workwear at the BCIA Career & Workwear Awards 2002. Combining
both practical garments with fashion, we developed a wet weather bomber-style
jacket with zip-out fleece to accompany the t-shirt, overshirt and pleat-front
trousers for Surrey Fire Service.
Surrey
Fire Service can now order their outfits over the Internet, which helps
speed up processing time and cuts down on paperwork.
